Gmail Labs allows you to try out experimental new features in Gmail. Recently, Gmail has announced some new Gmail Lab features and retired some old ones that are of no use to users. When Gmail Labs were started, it had 13 total features but with time the number grew to 60 and now some more new features have been introduced.

The new Gmail Lab Features introduced by Google are:

1. Search Autocomplete
2. Go To Label
3. Forgotten Attachment Detector
4. YouTube Previews
5. Custom Label Colors
6. Vacation Dates

The feature I really like is YouTube Previews. If some one email me a YouTube link, now I can preview the mailed YouTube link in Gmail without the need for opening YouTube and then watching the video there.

Other then that some of the old outdated Lab features have been removed from Gmail which include:

1. Muzzle
2. Fixed Width Font
3. Email Addict
4. Location in Singapore
5. Random Addict
