    There are many softwares that help you download videos from the internet. WebVideoCap is also an excellent software for downloading videos from the popular sites such as YouTube. This small utility helps you save the video in your local drive and allows you to capture .flv (Flash Video) files and RTSP/MMS video streams while the Web browser download and play them inside a Web page. After the video is downloaded and played through your web browser, it is automatically saved in the seleced folder and can be played offline later.

    WebVideoCap supports the following web video stream formats:

    • Flash video files (with .flv extension).
    • Microsoft Windows media files
    • RTSP streams. (RTSP protocol is used by many news and live TV/radio Web sites)
    • MMS streams. (MMS protocol is used by many news and live TV/radio Web site

    One slight problem with the software is that it do not save videos that have some kind of verification such as 18+ videos at gametrailers.com or youtube.com. Videos that do not contain this interference are saved without problems.

    I earlier wrote about 10 free websites that allows you to download Youtube videos. Today, I’ve found a new tool that will avoid you from visiting these websites everytime you want to download a video. The great thing about this tool is that it wont limit you to Youtube only but you will also be able to download videos from other popular video sharing websites such as YouTube, Google Video, MySpace, Metacafe, Dailymotion, iFilm, Videoegg, Veoh, Blip.tv etc.

    NetVideoHunter is an Add-on for Firefox Browser that is your all in one solution to any sort of video downloading. Simply download the add-on from here and everytime you visit a Video Sharing website you will be able to see a blue bottom at the right hand side of the page. You can find it at the bottom side of your browser.

    While viewing your video you will notice a “number” next to this blue botton. Simply click it and once done a new window will open which will allow you to download this video on your computer.
