Text-to-speech offers a number of benefits. First of all it offers you to sit back and relax while your PC reads long documents for you and more importantly, it comes in handy for the people with low visions.
A lot of people had been using “Speak It“, a Firefox add on that reads your text for you but unfortunately its only compatible with Firefox 2. Today I came to know through Ghacks that a user has changed the compatibility of the add-on and it now works perfectly fine with Firefox 3.

It integrates itself in the right-click context menu and can be used to read out all of the text on a website or only the selected text. It not only allows you to change the read rate and volume but its also possible to change the text to speech engine if more than one engine is installed on the computer system

A great way to download your favorite video or movie is by using their compressed version links. But what happens is that it doesn’t allow you to view the video until the whole thing is downloaded and unpacked. I’ve come across a great software that allows you to open and play video files from the first part of the incomplete RAR archieves.

Dziobas RAR Movie Player is easy to use. Simply open RAR movie player, click on “File” on menu. Select streaming from Unrar and add the password and view the video.
You can now play rar files without extracting. Download Dziobas RAR Movie Player
Asus has recently released the World’s first Skype Certified videophone known as AiGuru SV1. It comes with a 7 inch display, speakers, built in Webcam, microphone and Wifi Capable videophone which allows the users to make unlimited video calls for free to others skype users without using your PC.
“The AiGuru SV1 is Skype’s first foray with a partner into the videophone category,” said Jonathan Cristensen, Skype’s general manager, mobile and hardware devices. “With more than 25% of Skype-to-Skype calls including video, we know that video is fast becoming a mainstream way for people to communicate. The videophone offers the benefits of video calling to a much wider audience, allowing friends and families to share their worlds face-to-face without being tied to a computer.”
