Skype has released an update to their software to support multitasking capabilities for iOS 4 for iPhone 4 and other iDevices. Previously, when you navigated away from Skype, it would quit Skype and you would go offline.

But you don’t have to worry anymore as Skype has released a new version which minimizes when you switch to any other app on your iPhone. You will be able to get messages, receive calls when Skype is minimized. When you will receive a call, it will show you a notification with the name of the person calling you or sending messages.
