The HTC Evo 4G is one of the first 4G capable smartphones in the market today. The smartphone is limited to work only on Sprint’s 4G network in the US, and runs on Google’s Android operating system. Today morning, Evo users got an over-the-air update for their 4G smartphone from Sprint. Just 21.43 MB in size, this update version 1.47.651.1 supposedly contains some bug fixes and critical feature updates which may include, but not limited to, enabling the 802.11n Wi-Fi support by the HTC Evo 4G. One can also expect an improvement in the battery life by a software upgrade which may cause it to drain less battery while performing tasks, but nothing can be said for sure until further details pour in and update release notes are published.
