FaceBook Post To Appear In OneRoit’s Real-Time Search

When you execute a query on a search engine, in addition to search results from the web, real time search results from Twitter are also shown. A similar feature for Facebook has been in the pipeline for quite some time. Thanks to OneRiot, this feature has now materialized.

In case you are not familiar with the site, OneRiot is a real time web search engine that archives news, videos, and blogs being discussed on the social web. In order to properly gather data of social relevance, data from Facebook is a must (because of its high popularity). Recognizing this, OneRiot has now added results from Facebook in their search queries.

From now on, whenever you execute a search on OneRiot, relevant results from millions of users’ Facebook posts will appear in search results. You can only see the ‘public’ data which is on Facebook. For instance if a group has made their content viewable for everyone, only then will OneRiot be able to show it.

The Facebook posts will also be accessible through OneRiot’s API – this API powers more than 100 real time apps around the web and on mobile devices therefore many developers will be able to benefit from this new feature.

Already pulling data from blogs, Twitter, and Digg this latest Facebook addition will surely make OneRiot a complete social media search engine.

Apart from OneRiot, Google has already added Facebook Pages to its search results and Bing has announced to do the same with Facebook posts.
