Google Redirects Chinese Traffic to Google.HK
Google-China censorship issue has taken a new turn. Google announced that they have stopped censoring search services in China. All the users accessing Google.cn will be redirected to its Google.hk which will give Chinese users uncensored search results through the servers located in Hong Kong.

However, they mentioned that the service might be slow because of the huge amount of traffic that is being redirected from Google.cn to Google.hk. Google believe that this is the solution to all the problems and its completely legal to redirect traffic from China to Hong Kong, and provide uncensored search results to Chinese users.
Google’s Corporate Development and Chief Legal Officer, David Dummond said,
It’s entirely legal and will meaningfully increase access to information for people in China. We very much hope that the Chinese government respects our decision, though we are well aware that it could at any time block access to our services. We will therefore be carefully monitoring access issues, and have created this new web page, which we will update regularly each day, so that everyone can see which Google services are available in China.
How will the Chinese government react to this step taken by Google? Do you think that this is the solution to all the issues that are experienced by both, Google and China, in the past few months?
