Nowadays, people like to watch videos online on sites such YouTube, Dailymotion or Vimeo.  Either they are movies, songs, sports or whatever, people like to save some of the videos they like in there PC so that they can watch it later. In past, we have covered some online services that can help you convert and download videos from websites like YouTube, DailyMotion etc. Today, I found a free dekstop utility, ClipGrab, which can help you download videos off the internet easily.

ClipGrab is a free, easy to use desktop utility which allows users to download videos off the internet. With ClipGrab, you can easily save and convert you favourite videos from Youtube and other popular video sharing websites, to usable formats such as WMV, MPEG or MP3.  It is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux.

To download and convert the video, all you have to do is copy the link of the video, paste it in ClipGrab’s input field, select the format in which you want to convert and click Grab This Clip. It will automatically download, convert and save the clip in the destination folder. To open the converted file, select the file and click on Open the target folder of the selected download. It will open the folder in which the video is saved.

Right now, ClipGrab only supports the following websites:

• YouTube
• MyVideo.de
• DailyMotion.com
• Vimeo.com
• MySpasse.de

The supported file formats include, WMV, MPEG4, OGG Theora for videos and Mp3, OGG Vorbis for audio files.
