Change What happens When you Close your Laptop Lid

You can easily change your Laptop lid options. Normally, when you close your laptop lid, the laptop automatically goes to sleep.  But you can easily change the lid options according to your need. You can either set to shutdown, do nothing, hibernate or sleep.

To change your laptop lid options, Click on the Battery icon in your taskbar and click on More Power Options.

Select Change Plan Settings and select Change Advanced Power Settings.

When you will click on Change Advanced Power Settings, Power Options window will popup. Find Power Buttons and Lid in the list and expand it by click on the plus sign. There you will find Lid close action. Expand it and select the settings you want to use when you will close your laptop lid.

Just select the settings. For example if you want nothing to happen when you close your laptop lid, simply select Do Nothing.

And you are done. Hope that was helpful
