YouTube Now Offers Non Flash videos For Chrome And Safari
The singular most recurring problem faced by Chrome users is that the browser crashes unexpectedly when Flash applications are run on it. If you are a Chrome user, you might have experience the crash yourself either while viewing a Flash video or playing a browser based Flash game.

Despite numerous updates this Flash-crash issue has not been completely resolved yet and has annoyed users and developers alike. With its fast responsiveness and speedy page loading times, Chrome is the number one choice for a computer user’s default internet browser; but nobody will set Chrome as their default browser knowing that it might crash without warning each time some Flash application is run within the browser.
A similar problem is faced by Safari users.
While developers are still relentlessly finding a way to fix this baffling problem, Google has now come with a simple solution: instead of running videos in Flash, Google is now offering up YouTube videos without Flash. Where available, YouTube videos are now shown in simple HTML5 standards in Chrome and Safari. If the h.264 format is not available, YouTube will serve up the standard Flash player which has been upgraded with a nice video format chooser in the lower-right corner.
This step obviously translates into fewer systems hangs, browser crashes, and other Flash related issues.
To get a taste of HTML5 YouTube, head on over to YouTube’s HTML5 page here and start trying out the beta to experience fewer crashes on Chrome and Safari.

I attempted to make an argument like this once, but I didn’t get an especially positive reply. I’m hoping your writing on this topic turns out with more success than mine did. Keep up the good work.
