Backup You Data on Multiple Sites with Gladinet
Are you worried about the data on your PC being lost? You have installed every protective program, ranging from antivirus applications to encryption tools, but none of those will protect your data from physical damage to the computer. What would make most sense is to upload your data onto trustworthy (and free) servers for not only additional protection but also increased accessibility. If your data is a lot, you will not find any single file hosting site that will give you the capacity to store all your files. Therefore you will have to span out your data over multiple sites and access them individually. Now what if you found a desktop application that lets you browse your data from these multiple file hosting sites as if they were a folder on your PC? It would definitely make your life a lot more convenient.
Such an application does exist and is called Gladinet Cloud Desktop (GCD).

Sized at nearly 9MB, the program is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2003. After installing it you select which online sites you want to view as offline folders. Then you ‘mount’ the application and are required to enter the username and password for the sites you selected. The supportable sites are indicated in the image below:

Here is how the program itself looks like when opened:

Have a look at how the folders for Windows Live SkyDrive were shown:

You can copy files into these folders by simple dragging and dropping. Since you can open more than one file hosting account at a time, you can copy files between sites using the same dragging and dropping method.
The program comes in two versions: paid and free. The paid version has the additional feature of letting you backup all your uploaded data. See which version suits you best in the first 30 days of using the program when you use the free version equipped with the paid version’s functions.

Hmmm… Gladinet. I think this is something that I should look forward to. Will just study this and use it if it works for me. Thanks for posting!
