ByPass Login Restrictions on Websites with BugMeNot

A lot of good websites require you to register for an account before you can use them. It is fine if it is one website or two. However when a blogger such as me, reviews a lot of websites, registering for a free account every time becomes bothersome. Moreover you never know if a site you have not visited before is trustworthy or not. Maybe it shares your email with its partners and you start getting a lot of junk mail.

To bypass the pesky registration process of many sites, Firefox users can now use the BugMeNot add-on for Firefox.

BugMeNot itself is a popular website (which you can reach by clicking here) which offers visitors usernames and passwords to try out at websites on which registration is a must before you can get down to business. Porting the same facilitation to Firefox is a great idea and saves users a couple of time-consuming clicks.

Let us take the example of Mozilla’s own Add-ons for Firefox website. In the login fields, right-click and select Login with BugMeNot:

If a username and password exist for the site, you will be automatically logged in; otherwise you will have no option but to go through with the registration process.
By that simple process, you can save valuable time and bypass registration on various websites.

  1. Great info you have in this post, thanks. I have recently started to build my own websites using WordPress at the moment, but further down the line i would like to start using something a bit more robust. I have heard XSite Pro is good, that maybe my next venture, just need to make a bit more money from my WP sites first :-)
