AT&T Launched New Video Search Engine – VideoCrawler
AT&T is the largest provider of both local and long distance telephone service. Today they have launced their new Video Seach Engine in Public beta known as VideoCrawler. It is a innovtive new web application that is specially designed to provide a better way for people to search, organize and share their videos online. VideoCrawler indexes hundreds of millions of video clips from thousands of sites and they add millions of clips daily. All you need to do is enter your search term and you will receive consolidated results from across this vast index. Once you found what you’re looking for you can simply organize your favorites into collection and you can even choose to keep private or share with others.
“We want to do everything possible to connect customers to the content they want, and today more than ever, what they want online is social media,” said Sean O’Leary, vice president, AT&T Business Development. “With thousands of popular video Web sites, it’s become more and more challenging to find, sort and manage all of the best clips that are out there. That’s exactly what we’re working to solve with VideoCrawler by allowing users to search from an index of the most popular media sources from across the Web.”
VideoCrawler doesn’t host any videos, but members can still compile playlists and share them through embeddable widgets.
