One of the most simplest jobs to do and a must known by any blogger. Back in Feburary 2008 I sold my first website and I was lucky to sell a 30 days old site for $2000. The funny thing is that I run wordpress on my websites and I didn’t even know how to download a SQL database. The guy asked me to transfer the site within a day otherwise there is no deal and I was like losing this lottery. The guy was kind enough to tell me the whole procedure himself but for those of you who need to be ready for it. Following are the simple steps that will help you download your SQL database.

1. Login to your Cpanel which probably has these options

2. Click Backups and you will see options for Databases or you can even download full backup

3. Simple click the database you need to download. Once done a new window will pop up that will help you choose a location and thats it

Alright now if this doesn’t work for you. Click phpMyAdmin at the bottom of the main page.

Now simply choose the database you want to download. Click export choose the preferences for the file. Just don’t mess with anything simply download the files in ZIP format if you’re not sure what you’re doing.
