We all need to stay up to date with all the updates. JavaRa 1.09 checks if your computer has the latest version of available Java Runtime Environment. If you’re using an older verion of you Java it will replace it by downloading and installing the newer version for you. It also allows you to remove all possible older versions of this program that were previously installed. Once you have JavaRa you will easily ensure the security of your computer is enhanced and extra space on your hard disk is created. This utility does a fantastic job of cleaning up old Java entries.

Here are a few backup and clean up tips

• Reboot. “Start->Run”, type “%temp%” and delete all (xp and probably vista)
• System Restore. Uncheck. Save settings. Then set the C-Drive only. Not only saves space but should but System Restore doesn’t work well if too many programs have been added and you roll back.
• Delete Internet Browser caches (google for how)
• Delete Google Earth cache.
• Keep as many files as possible on a non-Windows partition or 2nd hard drive
• Use “Syncback” free version, keep critical files in “My Documents” or other C-Drive folder then auto backup every day, preferably to a 2nd hard drive (possibly networked)
• Use a tool like “Acronis True Image” to make an exact copy of Operating System. The boot cd can do ANY operating system. Make a backup of a barebones install for troubleshooting, a 2nd one slightly later, a 3rd after all apps and tweaks done. *Tip: to span to dvd’s you must choose the dvd drive as your backup location. If you backup to hard drive then copy images as a file to dvd’s the restore will fail unless the images are copied to the SAME hard drive folder then done that way.

Use his program occasionally to check for updates, and if you install one you can use JavaRA to eliminate the bulk of the old one.
