Windows Media Player Shortcut Keys
Windows Media Player is the most common software which is used by almost every single person for audio/video files. But sometimes it gets really annoying to pause, play etc. So by using a combination of keystrokes, you can increase the working speed of windows media player and perform task without the help of your mouse. So here are the shortcut keys that you can use with Windows Media Player.
Ctrl+P : Play or pause a file.
Ctrl+S: Stop playback.
Ctrl+B: Play previous item.
Ctrl+F: Play next item.
Ctrl+Shift+B: Rewind (only for DVDs).
Ctrl+Shift+F: Fast-forward (only for DVDs).
Ctrl+E: Eject CD or DVD (does not work if computer has multiple CD-ROM or DVD drives attached).
Ctrl+U: Open a URL or file.
Alt+Enter: Display video in full-screen mode.
Ctrl+1: Switch to Full mode from Skin mode.
Ctrl+2: Switch to Skin mode from Full mode.
Ctrl+M: Display menu bar during full-screen playback.
Alt+S: Search Media Library.
Shift+Tab : Select the previous area
Shift+F10 : Show the shortcut menu for the selected item
CTRL+W : Close or stop playing a file on the File menu
CTRL+Tab : Switch between the inner and outer areas of the Player
CTRL+Shift+G : Play faster than normal speed (time compression)
CTRL+SHIFT+S : Play slower than normal speed (time expansion)
CTRL+SHIFT+C : Turn captions and subtitles on or off
CTRL+T : Use to Repeat the items in media player
CTRL+1 : Switch to full mode
CTRL+2 : Switch to skin mode
CTRL+Shift+B : Use to Rewind a file in media player
CTRL+Shift+F : Use to Fast Forward a file in media player
F8 : Mute.
F9 : Decrease volume.
F10 : Increase volume.
F1 : Open Help
F3 : Refresh the information in the panes in the Sync feature
